3rd-5th
graders
what IS RUSH?
RUSH stands for Rising Up, Seeking Him. It's a boys and girls youth group for 3rd-5th graders that meets at Roxborough Church on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

We want kids to RISE UP... to realize who we are in Jesus Christ and to impact the world for Him.
We want kids to SEEK HIM... to seek God. He's the Source and the Sustainer of our lives, the Creator of all things. And He wants a relationship with us! We believe that when we draw near to God through His Son, Jesus, he will draw near to us. (James 4:8)

what happens at RUSH?
Teaching
We teach kids meaningful and age-appropriate lessons from the Bible. We believe that it is the only book of its kind that has the power to change and transform our lives by showing us who God is, who we are and what our purpose in life is.
Activities
Whether it's a group outing, a movie night, a fun game or a relay race, we believe activities help establish meaningful relationship between leaders and students, help them develop friendships with one another, and open them up to learn about God.
Friendship
We want kids to build quality friendships and so we promote a safe space for this to happen. We encourage group participation in all we do and also incorporate small group discussions for kids to grow with one another.
Serving
A few times a year we plan for kids to be able to serve others in some capacity. Serving others is something that Jesus modeled and we believe as he said, "it's more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). We seek to provide service projects 1-3 times a year to help kids experience this for themselves.
